RULES AND REGULATIONS

The following rules and guidelines are intended to provide direction for event implementation, ensure the safety of all participants, comply with local government permit requirements, and uphold various regulations set by the Organizing Committee, Race Organizer, and the Indonesian Athletics Association (PASI) Bangka Belitung for participant performance records and event execution.

All participants are required to read these rules and guidelines thoroughly before registering for the TINS HALF MARATHON 2025.

1. The TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 is supported by PT Timah Tbk and the Indonesian Athletics Association (PASI) Bangka Belitung, and will be held on August 23, 2025, with a route through Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung.
2. The race categories consist of road races covering distances of 21.095 kilometers, 10 kilometers, and 5 kilometers, for Open, Master, and Internal categories.
3. All Indonesian citizens and foreign nationals may register for the Open category of the 21.095K, 10K, and 5K races.
4. The Master category is open to participants aged 40 years and above on race day.
5. The Internal category is for participants registered as employees of state-owned enterprises (BUMN).
6. Participants must be able to complete the designated distance from the start line to the finish line within the time limit.
7. Participants registered in the Open category are only eligible for prizes in the Open class. Likewise, those in the Master category are only eligible for Master category prizes.
8. Participants acknowledge and accept that their participation in this race involves potential risks that could result in injury, disability, or even death.
9. Participants are required to declare any medical condition that could endanger themselves and are encouraged to seek medical advice if unsure about their health status. The race committee or medical officers have the right to prohibit participants from running if deemed a health risk.
10. Participants are expected to wear the official Race Jersey and must properly and visibly wear the BIB Number with Timing Chip. The BIB must be worn on the chest and clearly visible to marshals, security, and the Race Director.
Failure to properly wear the BIB may result in disqualification from the race route.
11. Participants must study and follow the official race route. Running off-route may result in disqualification or an unrecorded finish time.
12. Race start times will vary based on category.
13. The organizer reserves the right to change the start time without prior notice due to special circumstances but will attempt to notify participants.
14. Official Race Start Times:
      • 21K: 5:30 AM WIB
      • 10K: 5:45 AM WIB
      • 5K: 6:00 AM WIB
15. Animals, bicycles, in-line skates, baby strollers, pushcarts, rollerblades, or any other wheeled devices are not allowed on the race route in any category.
16. Participants are prohibited from obstructing or blocking other runners.
17. Cut-Off Time (COT):
      • 21K: 4 hours
      • 10K: 2 hours 30 minutes
      • 5K: 1 hour 30 minutes
18. Participants who exceed the COT must leave the race route and return to the finish area via the nearest route directed by officials, for their safety and to avoid traffic interference.
19. All participants must be at the venue at least 1 hour before the race starts. Recommended arrival time: 4:00 AM WIB.
Late arrivals may be disqualified on the spot.
20. Winners are determined by Gun Time, with rankings based on who crosses the finish line first and in order thereafter.
21. Winners will be officially announced, and prizes awarded only after verification by the technical committee (ORID and PASI) that all requirements were met and no rules were violated.
22. Participants finishing after the COT are not eligible to receive the Finisher Medal or Finisher Jacket (21K participants only).
23. Race inspections will be conducted to ensure full compliance with the rules.
24. All participants must register with complete and accurate information and pay the applicable registration fee.
25. Registrations are final and non-transferable. Participants who give their BIB to someone else will be disqualified.
26. Registration fees are non-refundable. The organizer reserves the right to reject applications if false information is provided.
Please do not make any payment if you fail to meet the registration requirements.
27. In the event of cancellation due to forces beyond the organizer’s control (including severe weather, disaster, protest), the registration fee is non-refundable, and the organizer is not liable for any inconvenience or loss.
28. The organizer does not provide lodging/accommodation for participants.
29. Completing the online registration form confirms the participant’s agreement to comply with all rules and regulations.
30. Race registration is only confirmed after payment, and participants will then receive a race identification number (BIB).
31. Each participant is allowed to register for only one race category. The organizer has the right to cancel duplicate entries, and no refund will be given for canceled registrations.
32. Each email address may only be used once for registration.
33. The organizer reserves the right to close registration early without notice if the race quota is full.
34. Participants agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information in the registration form. The organizer may contact participants via email or phone.
All official communications will be sent to the registered email address and considered delivered.
35. Minimum age requirements apply to all categories:
      • 21K: Minimum 17 years old
      • 10K: Minimum 15 years old
      • 5K: Minimum 13 years old
        (As of race day)
36. The organizer reserves the right to verify age at any time. Any exceptions must be approved by the organizer.
37. Race registrations and BIB numbers are individual identifiers and non-transferable.
38. Selling or transferring race BIBs is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification and/or ban from future events.
39. BIB Collection:
      • August 21, 2025: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM WIB
      • August 22, 2025: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM WIB
      • Location: Graha Timah, No. 51 Jenderal Sudirman Street, Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung
40. BIBs will not be sent by mail and cannot be collected on race day.
41. All decisions made by the Race Jury are final and binding. The Jury will be supported by official referees appointed by PASI Bangka Belitung.
42. Participants may not switch race categories after registration is confirmed.
43. Participants found cheating (blocking, pushing, shortening the route, riding a vehicle, etc.) will be immediately disqualified.
44. Hydration points will be located at designated points along the race route.
45. Traffic control is managed by the Pangkal Pinang Police and Transportation Agency.
Medical support is provided by designated hospitals along the course. Medical officers may stop participants for health reasons.
46. Distance markers and Checkpoints will be installed at specific points.
47. Checkpoints will be installed at Start Line, selected route points, and Finish Line.
48. Participants explicitly and exclusively grant the organizer full rights to use all participant information (such as name, images, etc.). All photos, videos, and related media taken during the event are the property of the organizer and may be used freely for promotional and commercial purposes.
49. Motorized vehicles or bicycles are not allowed on the course, except for official race personnel.
50. Winners must present a valid ID (KTP/Passport/Driver’s License) matching their registration and BIB number.
51. Winners who are unable to verify their identity according to the registration records, BIB number, timing chip data, and valid ID (KTP/Passport/Driver’s License) may be disqualified at the discretion of the Organizing Committee.
52. Any protests regarding results must be submitted within 30 minutes of the winner announcement and must be supported with valid legal evidence.
53. By participating in the race, all participants acknowledge and accept all the terms outlined in these rules and regulations.

 

I understand and agree

1. All purchases to participate in this Event are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.
2. I will review all materials/documents received, complete them accurately, and agree to the requirements stated in the registration, related documents and processes, as well as all applicable rules and policies. I will comply with all such rules and policies, including those outlined in the Event-specific athlete information guide and athlete briefing sessions, as these may be updated from time to time; and all applicable traffic laws.
3. By submitting this document, I agree to be legally bound by and comply with all policies, procedures, and/or other rules adopted by TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 (as may be amended from time to time and at any time by TINS HALF MARATHON 2025), and with all authority granted to TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 under such rules.
4. My participation in the Event is subject to the acceptance and review by TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 of all required information and availability of the necessary forms, including this Form.
5. I commit to participating in the Event without endangering myself or others. I further agree that participating in this activity requires a high level of fitness and endurance, and that I am fully responsible for my physical condition before, during, and after the activity. I, along with my healthcare and medical providers, am responsible for determining whether this activity is suitable for me prior to participation.
6. The information provided in this Form is general in nature, and other activities, risks, or consequences may exist that are unknown, unforeseen, or unaccommodated. Therefore, TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 cannot guarantee my safety or eliminate all risks. I understand that I may and should consult with a representative of TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 if I have further questions about the activities or associated risks.
7. I voluntarily participate with full understanding of all related risks. Therefore, I assume and accept full responsibility for myself for all inherent and other risks (whether known or unknown) associated with the activity, and for any injury, damage, death, or other loss I may suffer as a result of these risks, including but not limited to risks arising from passive or active negligence of fellow participants, Released Parties, spectators, volunteers, and/or third parties.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

Please read carefully. This Release and Indemnity section contains a waiver of certain legal rights. By agreeing below, I acknowledge and assume all risks associated with participation in the Event and agree as follows:

1. To release and not hold liable TINS HALF MARATHON 2025, the event sponsors, organizers, promoters, producers, race directors, event officials, staff, advertisers, administrators, contractors, vendors, volunteers, and all property owners and local, city, state, or other governmental entities and/or agencies whose property and/or personnel are used or otherwise assist at the event site, including each of their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, assignees, officers, directors, partners, board members, shareholders, members, supervisors, insurers, agents, employees, volunteers, contractors, and representatives, and any other persons or entities associated or involved with the activity (collectively referred to in this Form as the “Released Parties”), from any and all claims, liabilities, lawsuits, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees and legal costs) (collectively referred to in this Form as “claims”) for any injury, damage, death, loss of property, theft, abandonment of property, or any other loss of any kind related in any way to my registration or participation in the activity, including use of any equipment, facility, or premises, regardless of cause; including passive or active negligence of the Released Parties; any breach of legal duty by the Released Parties; and/or any loss arising from inherent or other risks associated with the activity. I understand and agree to waive any claims I may have against the Released Parties and further agree that neither I, my estate, my heirs, my assignees, beneficiaries, nor anyone acting on my behalf will bring any claims against the Released Parties for any injury, damage, death, or loss I may suffer.

2. To defend and indemnify (meaning to protect with reimbursement or payment) the Released Parties from any and all claims made by or on behalf of myself, my spouse, family members, fellow participants, or any other person, for injury, damage, death, property loss, theft, abandonment of property, or any other loss in any way related to my registration or participation in the activity, including but not limited to the use of equipment, facilities, or premises, regardless of the cause; passive or active negligence by the Released Parties; and/or any legal breach by the Released Parties; and/or any losses resulting from inherent or other risks related to the activity.


This Release and Indemnity section includes, but is not limited to, claims involving personal injury or wrongful death (including claims related to emergency, medical, pharmaceutical, and/or health issues, response, assessment, or treatment), property damage, loss of consortium, breach of contract, or other legal claims, including those arising from the passive or active negligence of the Released Parties.

OTHER PROVISIONS
I understand and agree

1. Any dispute or claim that I (or my child) may arise from, relate to, or be connected with this Form, my (or my child’s) registration or participation in the Event, or any other aspect of my (or my child’s) relationship with TINS HALF MARATHON 2025: 1)shall be governed by the laws of Indonesia, and 2) unless resolved through direct discussion, shall be settled by binding arbitration as the exclusive final resolution of all matters in dispute, administered by the District Court.3) Arbitration shall be conducted by an arbitrator knowledgeable in relevant and commercial matters, mutually acceptable to both the participant and TINS HALF MARATHON 2025. Venue & Language Requirement: I agree that arbitration proceedings or any lawsuits must be filed, conducted, and/or take place solely in Indonesia and shall be conducted only in the Indonesian language.
2. If I am signing as the legal guardian of a participant, I represent that I have the legal authority to act on the participant’s behalf. If my status as guardian is challenged or found invalid, I agree to defend and indemnify the Released Parties to the extent permitted by law and under the terms of this Form, as if I were the legally recognized guardian of the participant.
3. In connection with my relationship with TINS HALF MARATHON 2025, I agree that the terms of this Form shall prevail over any other form or contract I may sign (with parties other than TINS HALF MARATHON 2025) related to this Event.
4. Under no circumstances shall I (or anyone acting on my behalf) be permitted to, without prior written consent from TINS HALF MARATHON 2025: (a) use the intellectual property of TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 and/or its affiliates, including but not limited to names, logos, terms, or marks referring to or implying or confusingly similar to the Event, Event logos, names, location, date, or race distance (collectively, “Event IP”), or (b) sell, market, distribute, or produce any product, event, merchandise, website, or service bearing the TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 brand or bearing or referencing (i) any Event logo, (ii) Event name, (iii) Event IP, or (iv) TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 IP.
5. I authorize and consent to staff, representatives, or contractors of TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 conducting public health safety screening at Event venues using methods chosen by TINS HALF MARATHON 2025. While participating in the Event, I agree to comply with all public health and/or safety instructions from Event staff, representatives, contractors, police, or government/health authorities.
6. TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove any participant from the Event, reject or revoke any applicant’s entry at any time, and/or disqualify any participant from the Event. If my application is denied or revoked, I agree that TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 shall not be liable for any costs or damages incurred by me or my family beyond the entry fee amount.
7. I acknowledge and agree that TINS HALF MARATHON 2025, at its sole discretion (whether for safety, legal, or other reasons), may:
(a) at any time, with or without notice, modify or change the race course, distance, elevation, difficulty level, or other aspects of the Event; or
(b) postpone or cancel the Event (or any race segment) if conditions are deemed unsafe or unsuitable.
If the race course or Event is modified, postponed, or canceled for any reason, including but not limited to acts of God or nature (e.g., wind, heavy rain, hail, storms, tornadoes, earthquakes), terrorism, fire, strikes, labor difficulties, civil unrest, war, public disaster, public health risks, flooding, unavoidable casualties, course conditions, or any other cause beyond the control of TINS HALF MARATHON 2025, there will be no refund of entry fees or any other costs incurred related to the Event.
8. I grant TINS HALF MARATHON 2025, its affiliates, designees, assignees, and sponsors the right and permission to photograph, film, record, and/or capture in any media my name, image, voice, written statements, photographs, and/or visual likeness (collectively, “Image”) of myself and/or my family members, with the right to sublicense, during or after the Event, without compensation, for use in any media worldwide and in perpetuity, including but not limited to broadcast, photography, publications, podcasts, webcasts, films, brochures, CDs, DVDs, websites, social media, television, and/or commercial, informational, educational, advertising, or promotional materials. I understand that all ownership and copyrights to the Images will be held by TINS HALF MARATHON 2025, its assignees, or designees, and I waive any right to inspect or approve such use. I understand and agree that my name, bib number, and race results may be made publicly available during and after the Event.
9. TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 may assign this Form to another entity or individual (“assignee”) at any time, and any such assignment will grant the assignee the full rights and protections under this Form, consistent with those of TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 and the Released Parties.
10. To the extent that TINS HALF MARATHON 2025 allows my Event registration to be transferred to another race, I acknowledge and agree that this Form shall also apply to such race, mutatis mutandis.
11. This Form shall apply from the date of signature through the completion of all Event activities, and shall remain in full force and effect thereafter.
12. This Form is intended to be interpreted and enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law. If any part of this Form is found to be illegal or unenforceable, it shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall remain in full force and effect.
